Who are the Malibu Boardriders?
In early 1992, a group of Malibu surfers founded the Malibu Boardriders Club. The vision of the Club was to use surfing to promote community, the local environment and mentoring kids in a sports setting. We take pride in all the community based projects that our Club has helped develop. As members of the Malibu Boardriders Club we continue to carry out our dedication to community, charity, water, surf and the cornerstone of our club - to “Ride with Tradition”.
The Call to the Wall is a benefit event
Over the years the Club has managed to provide support to many community programs and events including; hosting the Tommy Zahn Memorial Paddle Race, the adoption of Westward Beach for clean-up, adopting the Marine Science Lab at the Pt Dume Marine Science School, support for Heal the Bay on Coastal clean-up day, support of the L.A. County Dept. of Beaches and Harbors WATER program for under-privileged kids, support for California State Parks through beach wheelchair access and restoration of the Pt. Dume Headlands and support for the Marine and Mountain Wildlife rescue program.
The Malibu Boardriders Club gratefully accepts donations to assist us in helping provide a beach day that kids will remember. Contributions other than money are also gladly accepted as there are many goods and services needed to produce our event.
Name recognition and exposure will be provided through newspaper coverage, radio spots,TV news broadcasts, event site banners, product displays, event public address announcements, advertising, posters, T-shirts, and other merchandise, as well as in magazines.
